How can we accomplish this "house of serenity?" The dictionary describes serenity as "unclouded and bright." The "bright windows to your soul" can be your House of Serenity!
To create the art of creating clutter free living spaces that are pleasing the how-to's are few:
  • Have no cobwebs
  • Have no odors that knock people over, and
  • Have a room that says, "come on in and sit down."

Question: Have you ever been in those homes where you were afraid to sit down for fear of spoiling the perfection, as opposed to being afraid to sit sown for fear of the dreaded swamp fever?

Answer: Of course - to both questions!

I'm not talking about creating perfection here. I only want to help you create a place that's clutter free and where you want to be. Let's look at two different scenes of "order:"

    Scene 1
The door's difficult to open because the kids dumped their school books and shoes right at the front door, but you manage to shove your way in. Discarded clothing is littered from the front door to a bedroom down the hall.
As you make your way into the kitchen with the groceries you nearly stumble over a rolled up newspaper on the floor. You're wondering, "Is it today's or last week's?" You put the groceries on the floor because your kitchen counters are smeared with peanut butter and jelly from half-eaten sandwiches. And your spouse's briefcase is on the smeared jelly! And what is that horrible smell?
